Martesacker tells teammates that they should be serious while in the lead.

Martesacker says that Arsenal must learn from the mistakes in the games against Andelecht and swansea and start playing serious "football" to get their season back on track. Arsenal drew against Andelecht despite being 3 goals up. They threw up another lead against swansey. Gylfi Sigurdsson and Bafetimbi Gomis struck late on to give Swansea a 2-1 victory and leave Arsene Wenger's side with another hangover. What are your views?

Arsene wenger to be given £20million in January to solve defensive problems.

Arsenal's season is slowly growing into painful pie that wenger and Arsenal fans are not ready to swallow. With injuries robbing off Arsenal of their key players with the latest being Arteta who is the Latest victim. To rescue Arsenal's season Wenger will have to strengthen his squad. Vamaelin was never replaced and the position of a holding midfielder needs to be filled. The latest loss to Swansea was due to defensive problems and lack of teamwork. Arsenal will discuss their defensive options during a scouting meeting this week, as revealed by Sportsmail.
Signing a centre back is the most pressing issue, with Wenger’s decision not to replace Thomas Vermaelen proving a major mistake after the Gunners were hit by a string of injuries.
Left back Nacho Monreal has been played as a makeshift central defender following injuries to Mathieu Debuchy and Laurent Koscielny.
Arsenal’s problems in defence were underlined last week when they threw away a 3-0 lead against Anderlecht in the Champions League, then lost 2-1 to Swansea on Sunday despite being 1-0 up with 15 minutes left.

Arsenal are working on a loan deal for Munir EI Haddadi

Arsenal are reportedly seeking Munir EI Haddadi on a loan in January. The 19 year old has impressed with several eye catching displays but Suarez arrival at Barcelona has seen him being relegated to the bench. The report states that the Gunners have started work on a deal to sign Barcelona’s ‘new Neymar’ on-loan for the rest of the season. The North London club have been tracking the youngster since the summer and with his amount of game time drying up recently, Wenger is moving in.

Arsenal's new signing

Manchester United had one of the best English players of all time in their squad in the form of David Beckham.
Becks won every major prize with the Red Devils before departing for Real Madrid.
However, Arsenal are the one who have beaten Chelsea and Manchester United to complete the signing of Beckham’s son Brooklyn Beckham.
As per reports, Brooklyn Beckham has signed a deal with Gunners.
The 15 year old boy has been impressive and that has earned him the deal till the end of this season and there are plans that if he continues to perform well, Arsenal may hand him a major contract at the end of the season.
As per the provided link, Arsenal source claim:
“Brooklyn is talented and he has stood out in all of the training sessions and games he has played.
“He has had other teams sniffing around and it was always going to be a case of when, not if, he was signed up by a big-name club.
“Arsenal realise he can be a huge talent.
“They have seen that potential and protected their asset.
“The club has signed him, fending off interest from Manchester United and Chelsea in the meantime.”
“Next summer we may see him sign a big-money deal and with Arsenal.”
Arsenal and Arsene Wenger are always looking to sign young talented stars for the future and if Brooklyn can be anything close to his father, Gunners may have signed a massively talented boy.

Arsene Wenger concedes the title to Chelsea.

After the lose to Swansea, wenger believes that the title is now Chelsea's to  lose. This was after Swansea came from one goal down to win 2-0 at Liberty stadium. There are still more games to play with only 11 games but the Frenchman believes that their London rivals are unstoppable being 12 points ahead of Arsenal. What are your views about this.

Another Arsenal player injured...

Arsenal injury troubles are far from over with the latest being Mikel Arteta being  ruled out with a short-term injury after suffering a grade one hamstring strain in the 3-3 draw with Anderlecht. Arteta will miss the match in Wales, although the return of Jack Wilshere will ease concerns in the Gunners midfield. The injury list is growing at an alarming rate which seem to frustrate not only Wenger and Arsenal's medical team but also the fans who really dream to see their team lift the premier league this season. We hope alot will be done to check on this injuries.

Reasons why Guardiola will join Arsenal

With Arsene Wenger’s contract at Arsenal approaching terminus, speculations of the board’s intention to seek a successor for the 65-year-old Frenchman has taken centre stage. While some media houses across Europe have said Wenger would be allowed, just as Alex Ferguson at Manchester  United,  to hand pick his successor and that the Gunners manager has chosen Paul Clement, 42, the Assistant coach at Real Madrid, others have opened the flashed the hope of a Pep Guardiola, 43, stint at the Emirates. The more experienced of the two managers, at almost the same ages, is no doubt Pep Guardiola. Here below are 5 reasons why we think Pep Guardiola the Bayern Munich manager will join Arsenal at the end of his time in Germany.
  1. Contract Expiration Coincidence: The Evening Standard earlier calculated that Arsene Wenger’s reported time of departure at Arsenal would coincide with the expiration of Guardiola’s time as Bayern Munich manager in 2016 therefore the former Barcelona manager could just be in line as the new manager at the Emirates. This assumption is not farfetched since the vibe from the German giants is that the Spanish manager’s contract wouldn’t be extended by the end of the existing contract. It can be said to be coincidental that Wenger’s contract expires in May 2017, after he signed a new 3 year contract in May, 2014. Guardiola’s availability would attract Arsenal to look in his direction while Arsene Wenger would reportedly move up the ladder at Arsenal.
  1. Same styled players: Arsenal would offer Pep Guardiola the opportunity of managing players like Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Santi Cazorla among others, players who can be likened to Guardiola’s former players at Barcelona. The players Guardiola employed even after leaving Barcelona are Arsene Wenger styled players and hence the philosophies may not be very different. Guardiola, who was a former football player himself, played under Johan Cryuff at Barcelona and was an important member of the Dutch manager’s “dream team” that won Barcelona their first ever European Cup in 1992. Therefore, Guardiola can be said to be a product of total football, made popular by Cryuff, a playing style Barcelona still adopts till today, called tiki-taka. This style is very similar to Arsene Wenger’s attractive passing game and no other manager would better suit that style than Pep Guardiola for the purpose of continuity and success at the club.
  1. Guardiola’s EPL desire: Arsenal though was initially thought to face competition from Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United, as Guardiola has attracted interest from the Manchester duo recently and Guardiola had earlier expressed his desire to take up a managerial job in England someday. The coast for Arsenal would be clear if the top hierarchies at the Manchester clubs deem it fit to extend the contracts of the current managers at the Manchester clubs- Manuel Pellegrini and Louis Van Gaal as it isn’t likely that Chelsea’s Jose Mourinho would be sacked anytime soon because of his long term stay. Louis Van Gaal just took charge at Manchester United and this practically rules him out while Liverpool isn’t just attractive enough for a manager in the mould of Guardiola. Therefore, asides Manchester City, who could fire and hire Pellegrini at anytime, Arsenal, stands better chance of landing the manager over any other English Premier League club.
  1. Wenger’s persuasion power: Since taking charge of the North London side in 1996, Arsene Wenger has proven to critics that he not only could modify Arsenal’s style of play- a feat that got him referred to as the transformer of a boring Arsenal to a scoring Arsenal-he could also, persuade, cajole and even negotiate in business matters. Players that have come in contact with him hardly ever refuse to join the Gooners. This is evident in the players’ statements after they put pen to paper for the club. These skills can also be applied in convincing Pep Guardiola, his potential successor at Arsenal. Wenger is well known influential manager in European football and if he really wants Guardiola as his replacement, he only needs to pull some strings and Guardiola would be the new Arsenal manager.
  1. New Challenge for Guardiola: Pep Guardiola, since joining Bayern Munich in 2013, has won the Bundesliga for the club and in 2 years, before the expiration of his contract, he stands a good chance of winning everything available domestically and continentally. Bayern Munich under Guardiola rank with clubs like Real Madrid in terms of the quality of players and personnel who can deliver the goods. Therefore, the 43-year-old manager would need a new challenge after his time in Germany, a package Arsenal are able and willing to offer.

Predicted Arsenal lineup Against Manchester City.

Goalkeeper – Szczesny
Ospina has just returned from injury and there is no reason for Szczesny to lose his place, regardless of Ospina’s status.
Right Back – Debuchy
Debuchy will hopefully continue to improve on his recent performances, while he has not made any glaring mistakes, he also has done little that stands out.
Center Back – Mertesacker & Koscielny
Arsenal’s stalwarts at the back will feature, of course. Chambers has played well, but has done nothing to prove that he deserves to start either. Koscielny’s health has been questionable the past three weeks due to a kick to the Achilles. Look for this to not be a problem anymore.
Left Back – Gibbs
Gibbs is back and healthy following a hamstring injury on opening day. Monreal performed adequately in Gibbs’ absence, but when both are healthy Gibbs is the automatic starter.
Defensive Mid – Arteta
Arteta too returns from injury after picking up an ankle knock against Besiktas during the first leg of that matchup. Arsenal’s captain will resume in his role as a holding midfielder. Flamini played well during Arteta’s absence, however, Arteta’s calming presence and leadership will prove to be an asset to an Arsenal team who are still finding their feet.
Central Midfield – Wilshere
Ramsey picked up a knock while playing for Wales against Andorra. He has an outside chance of playing, but it is unlikely that Wenger will push the “Welsh Jesus”, as it is early in the season and Arsenal have a rough game against Dortmund midweek. A repeat of Ramsey’s injury last season is the last thing anyone associated with Arsenal will want to see. Wilshere will take over Ramsey’s role.
Attacking Midfield – Özil will play in his natural number 10 role. Cazorla has been playing there the past couple games, and Özil outwide left, however. Özil should be deployed in his best and natural role. That is why Arsenal bought him last season after all.
Right Wing – Alexis
Alexis will start on the right where he has been playing very well the past couple games. With Özil playing through the middle, look for Arsenal to use both Alexis’ and Welbeck’s pace.
Left Wing – Cazorla
If Wenger wants to play both Cazorla and Özil, he must sacrifice Cazorla and let the German play in his most natural position. Cazorla was effective in this position last year and is a better defender than the German. Look for Wenger to revert to this role for the Spaniard.
Striker – Welbeck
Welbeck will make his debut for Arsenal this weekend and look for him to be fired up to play. Sanogo could make a push to start over Welbeck, considering the young Englishman will have had only two training sessions with his new team and Sanogo played impressively for the France-U21 team this weekend, scoring 3 goals.

Welbeck set to make his debut appearance against Manchester City. Do you think he will shine?

Welbeck: Arsenal striker.

Serge Gnabry is back in training for the first time this season.

The German sensation who was sidelined due to a minor knee injury but joined the first team training yesterday according to HITC sport. We wish him a great season ahead full of success.

Ozil could be ruled out of the game against Manchester City.

According to metro,Arsenal may suffer a major blow as Ozil may be ruled out of the game against Manchester City. Ozil who suffered an Ankle injury at the end of the game against Leister City hence missed the international friendly against Argentina where Germany lost 4-2. It is also doubted that he could play their Euro qualifying match against Scotland.

Olivier Giroud and Mikel Arteta up for contract extensions.

Arsenal are looking forward to keep their squad intact following their £80million summer splurge. Olivier Giroud and Mickel Arteta are both lined up for contract extensions in a bid to Secure their futures at the Emirates. Arteta will be offered 12 months on top of the existing Contract and Giroud will be offered a contract extension up to the summer of 2018 despite his ankle injury.

Arsenal star already considering quitting the Gunners in January

Rosicky who has complained of having less playing time is considering leaving Arsenal in  January. He has struggled to get into Wenger's first xi this season despite signing a two year Contract in April.
And with the transfer window already closed, the 33-year-old is yet to start a game this season and is evidently considering his options in search of regular playing time.
“I’m naturally disappointed not to have been given a chance,” said Rosicky.
“We will see what the situation looks like in the coming weeks and months [before deciding to leave].
“The lack of match practice has been absolutely terrible and, naturally, it makes me very sorry that I haven’t been given a chance yet.
“We’ve not been playing well and I think I could have helped, but I’ve not been given a chance.”
Before extending his current contract, the former Borussia Dortmund ace was a subject of interest from teams in the MLS and Qatar, but was convinced by Wenger to stay at the Emirates.

Manchester United Star undergoing a medical at Arsenal.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is in desperate need of a striker, and is hoping he can tie up a deal for Welbeck before the end of the transfer window.
The England international has been surplus to requirements by new United boss Louis Van Gaal, and is set to join Arsenal on a one-year loan deal.
The Red Devils have already let Javier Hernandez join Real Madrid on a temporary basis, and feel there is no place for Welbeck at Old Trafford this season after capturing Radamel Falcao from Monaco.
Wenger has been searching for a striker after losing Olivier Giroud to a long-term injury, looking at deals for ex-Tottenham star Jermain Defoe, Swansea's Wilfried Bony and Sevilla's Carlos Bacca.
However it now appears that Welbeck will link up with the Gunners squad after the upcoming international friendlies, and Wenger will be hoping his latest acquisition can make a serious impact as Arsenal look to challenge Manchester City for their Premier League crown.

Arsene Wenger believes that he can still challenge for the premier league even if he does not sign a striker to replace Giroud. Do you agree?

Giroud who injured his ankle during the game against Everton and won't be available until january. With Walcot set to return from  injury,Wenger believes that he has a strong side to compete the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea without forgeting the strong growing Liverpool. Give your comments about this.

Loic Remy has revealed why he Chose Chelsea over Arsenal

Remy saw a move to Liverpool collapse earlier this summer over a failed medical.

While he was also a reported target for Arsenal and Tottenham, the France international completed a £10.5million move to Chelsea yesterday.

And Remy has explained how Mourinho convinced him to head to Stamford Bridge on a four-year contract."I spoke with him (Mourinho)," Remy said.

"He is very clever and he knows exactly what he wants. He has targets for me and I know I have a target for myself as well.

"Everybody wants the best so the discussion was really good. I know he can get the best out of a player and I'm looking forward to working with him.

"We have two great strikers here already [Diego Costa and Didier Drogba] and I don't have a choice if I want to be in the team - I have to play at a very high level

Arsenal offered the Toronto FC striker.

Jermain Defoe has been offered to Arsenal by Toronto FC on transfer deadline day to solve striker crisis until Olivier Giroud recovers  from the injury in the new year.Arsenal have been sounded out about the possibility of signing former Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe on loan until January.

Defoe is in England and ready to complete a move back to the Premier League from Major League Soccer club Toronto FC.
Queens Park Rangers remain favourites to sign 31-year-old Defoe, with Newcastle, Hull City and Leicester City all interested.

Campbeli stays and a £37m is being prepared for Carvarlo

The Galatasarai Coach has resigned to the fact that Wenger will not be loaning out Campbell. The work permit problem having been solved. Campbel is available to play in the united kingdom. The indications are very strong that he will be staying at the club. He has got a passion for playing for Arsenal.
Arsene Wenger also hopes to sign Carvarlo. Do you think Arsenal can sign Carvarlo.

Wenger reveals why he always wanted to stay.

Arsene Wenger is happy keeping Arsenal competitive during the barren years with no silverware. He believes this is one of his greatest achievement.
"I accepted the challenge when I signed my contract knowing what would happen," he said. "Personally, I think it was the most sensitive and important period of my career here - it was exciting to keep the club at the level with less resources. Did we do well or not? The only thing I can say is that we were consistent at that level but maybe we lacked some quality to really win it.
"The only thing I can assure you is that I gave absolutely everything to do as well as I could. Is it enough? You'll never know. Could someone have done better? You never know."
He expresses his optimism of quenching the already present trophy thirst.

Wenger reveals why he signed Alexis Sanchez

Arsène Wenger says that he signed Alexis Sanchez due to his versatility.
The former Barcelona and Udinese forward is set to make his first appearance in an Arsenal shirt this weekend after joining up with the first-team squad on Friday.
Alexis can operate from either wing or as a centre forward and Wenger believes his pace will add an extra dimension to Arsenal's attack.
"He is a striker and he's a good finisher," Wenger said. "He made a great impression in Italy - I saw him there and he was really outstanding.
"Then at Barcelona it was a bit more difficult. But it's like you could see with Neymar at Barcelona, because there you have Messi. You see Neymar with Brazil and Neymar with Barcelona and it's not the same. I like the fact he can play left, right, up front and that's why I went for him.
"At the moment I want to see him in both positions. But I took him because he is a player who has the qualities of Walcott, he goes behind the defenders off the ball. And with the quality of his runs he can be very important for us.
"I will try to give him some part on Sunday and then maybe even a few minutes tomorrow."

Atletico Madrid says they are not interested in the arsenal star...

What are your thoughts ,share your comments below

Carl Jenkinson has moved to westham on a season long loan

Arsenal defender Carl Jenkinson has moved to west ham on a season-long loan. The 22-year-old right-back has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs and decided to move across London for the 2014-15 campaign.
Jenkinson, who joined the Gunners from Charlton in 2011 and earned his only England cap against Sweden 18 months later, becomes the Hammers’ sixth summer signing, joining Mauro Zarate, Enner Valencia, Cheikhou Kouyate, Aaron Cresswell and Diego Poyet.
“I’m clearly seen as a big part of things here and hopefully I can prove my worth here because it is an important year for me,” said Jenkinson.
“I was flattered to have a lot of options but deep down, if I was being honest with myself, West Ham was always the place I wanted to go to.
“It’s one of them where I wanted to do the right professional thing and consider all the options, but in the back of my mind it was always West Ham and I’m just so glad it’s all worked out how I wanted it to in the end.
“It will be brilliant to play here. I’ve got a lot of friends who are West Ham fans and I know how good the supporters are here.
“You get a great atmosphere here and the fans are great, so I just can’t wait to get a West Ham shirt on and get on the pitch and play.”

Arsenal may still sign Khedira after he compromised on his wage demands.

Arsene Wenger is likely to offer Khedira around £110,000 per-week, making him amongst the highest earners at the club.  Khedira would join fellow World Cup winners Lukas Podolski, Per Mertesacker and Mesut Ozil at the Emirates, which is becoming a growing attraction for German talent.
Sami Khedira will add top-level experience to the midfield and bring a whole new level of power that the team has been lacking since Vieira. Watching him destroy the Brazilian midfield in that 7-1 mauling proved just how valuable he would be in big games for the Gunners.
Khedira has just one year remaining on his current contract, and reports in Spain suggested that this week he turned down an extension offer from the Champions League holders. It is thought that Arsenal and Madrid have already reached an agreement of £20million (€25million), but personal terms are yet to be finalised.
If signed, Khedira is unlikely to be available until August 11, when all the other Germans return from their well deserved break. This means all the Germans would miss the Community Shield and the first Premier League game (due to fitness issues). Arsenal will of course have a European qualifier to juggle amongst their Premier League fixtures in August.

Arsenal handed a boost in the signing of the real madrid star.

Arsenal have been handed a boost in signing the Real Madrid star-Samy khedira. Reports indicate that Real Madrid are kin to sell the star to the gunners. The major huddle appear to be his wage demands which Arsenal have not yet agreed.

5 Bold Predictions for Alexis Sanchez's Debut Season with Arsenal

Arsenal have signed four players this summer, but none was bigger or generated more hype than the first: Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean has shone for years for his country and Barcelona, where he first became world famous. Now he'll get to showcase his talents at a club where he is one of the biggest players.
It is often difficult to predict how foreign players from different leagues will fare during their first seasons in the Premier League, even if they are objectively excellent.
With that in mind, let's make five relatively bold predictions about how Sanchez's debut campaign will unfold.
Turkish giants Galatasaray are confident of signing Arsenal striker Joel Campbell on a season-long loan, this is according to reports in turkey.
Campbell, impressed on loan at Greek champions Olympiakos last season and  is desperate to show prof. Arsene Wenger how much he has improved and matured since the time he was signed by the club in 2011. Campbel has managed to gain considerable international and European experience having played for Costarica gaining 35 caps so far. He is reportedly training with his teammates on preseason tour in Australia. Galatasarai have made a £800,000 to sign him on loan.Other teams that are interested in him include;Everton,Newcastle,Southampton and West Ham. Prandelli believes that Campbell will fit perfectly into his form of play and is convinced to land him in his squad. Let's see how events unfold. However, Campbell will play alongside Deburchy and Alexis Sanchez during emirates cup during his debut appearance.

Barcelona are interested in an Arsenal star

Barcelona are reportedly interested in Arsenal defender Vamaelin. Previously he was linked with Manchester united but the transfer has stalled after they failed to agree on the transfer fee. Barcelona who have a weaker defense will be looking to strengthen it,possibly to counter the sharp attacks from Real Madrid which has  been voted to have the best striking force in the world and other teams in the various leagues they will play in. Now the greatest doubt is whether Wenger will agree to sell.
Thomas Vermaelen

Calum Chambers is a gooner

Calum Chambers has moved to Arsenal at an undisclosed fee though reports say that the transfer fee was £16million. This is the fourth arsenal signing in this transfer window in a bid to strengthen their squad ahead of the Barclays premier league ahead. The 19 year old who made 25 appearances for southhampton is very happy to be at arsenal.

Westham chasing Arsenal's wonderkid Joe Campbel

Westham are reportedly chasing Campbell's signature. Campbell who shone during the world cup and in the champions legue last season has attracted interests of various clubs including Serie A giants -AC Millan and now Westham. Arsenal manager has been silent over his future but we hope he will break the silence soon.He played for Lorient and Real Betis before moving to Olympiakos where he has proven his ability as a striker.

Arsenal are close to signing £16m rated defender Calum Chambers from Southampton

The England Under-19 international who has made 25 senior appearances for Southampton reportedly underwent a medical on Friday.
Wenger sees him to have a good defensive role.
The Saints midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, 24 is also on Arsenal's transfer radder. He played for France at the World Cup.
Following the arrivals of Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez and Newcastle right-back Mathieu Debuchy from Newcastle chambers maybe the third summer signing .

Predicted Arsenal 11 at the start of the season

GK – Wojciech Szczesny
He is the club’s number one goalkeeper regardless of whether Wenger brings in David Ospina or Iker Casillas as an additional signing.
RB – Mathieu Debuchy
The Frenchman will slot straight into the back four due to Premier League experience
CB – Laurent Koscielny
He was a key man in the defensive position he will definitely feature..
CB – Thomas Vermaelen
LB – Kieran Gibbs
Gibbs has that injection of pace, which makes him a good player to have at full-back. He can get forward and support attacks as well as dropping off quickly.
RM – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
The Ox was a standout player for Arsenal towards the back end of last season and he should be fresh after not featuring prominently over the summer with England.
DM – Mathieu Flamini
Wenger will want that experience in front of his back four and the Frenchman can pick off opposition attacks.
CM – Aaron Ramsey
Rambo started pre-season with a bang and he’ll be confident that he can keep his form from last season going.
AM – Santi Cazorla
With Mesut Ozil one of those German players likely to miss the first game, Cazorla can step in and take care of things behind the main striker.
LM – Alexis Sanchez
Sanchez is a world class addition to this Arsenal team and he can play out on the left until Lukas Podolski is back in the side.
ST – Olivier Giroud
There are no indications that Wenger is going to replace Giroud up front, which means further chances for him to lead the Arsenal attack.

Why Wenger should give Joe campbel a chance in Arsenal squad next season.

Joe Campbell is a young and ambitious forward. He has proven  his worth in the recent competitions. Joe Campbell clearly showed his maturity in his striking position in the recently concluded world cup. With a looming swap with Balotelli of AC Millan, i see it as another transfer mistake that Wenger may commit by doing such a swap. Joe Campbell's discipline on the field is very admirable and everyone can count on him unlike Balotelli who is at risk of a yellow card or even a red card in any game. And you know clearly how that can cost a team.
He has good dribbling skills and with necessary encouragement and coaching from Wenger ,he can make a great striker to beat. His scoring and assisting skills can surely bring Arsenal more goals next season. His combination with Alexis and Ozil can cause even the best defense a real headache. Joe Campbell's speed and intercepting skills can cause more goals on counter attacks.

Wenger ready to offload Vermaelin

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is ready to release Arsenal captain vermaelin according to reports. This will only happen if he gets a replacement for his position. According to reports he wants cash and a player from Manchester united in order to release Vermaelin.
As the transfer period continues ,he will be looking to strengthen his squad in order to have a strong competitive team to fight for silverware come next season. With the premier league being dubbed as a five horse race, all the managers will be fighting for their team to finish as top as they can on the premier league standings.
Premier league giants such as Chelsea, Manchester United,Liverpool and Totenham have also been very active in the transfer window.Chelsea have strengthened their squad by working on their defense and striking by signing Diego Costa and Felipe Luiz. They are reportedly chasing Sami Khedira who is also a top Arsenal target.
With khedira's move seeming o have stalled arsenal will be looking elsewhere in order to get a defensive midfielder.
